The Greuterhof Hotel, newly opened in January 2015, offers 38 themed rooms, a large banquet hall with a capacity for banquets of up to 120 people, a cosy bar as well as various rooms for seminars and the restaurant „Die Färberei“. The Greuterhof is a historic building from the 18th/19th century and today is a monument of regional industrial history.

We rebuilt and expanded the formerly biggest barn in Switzerland (built in 1802) in a way that allows you to breath living history without having to do without modern comfort. Among our 38 rooms are – as you’d expect being in the „canton of apples“ – 14 apple-themed rooms, 15 rooms themed with respect to the city of Frauenfeld, 8 textile-themed rooms with references to the history of the former indigo dyeing plant that was the Greuterhof and a „Greuter-Suite“ with original 19th century funiture. Our bar in the former smithy features original pillars and ceilings from the barn’s origins as well as a large fireplace that creates a comfortable and cozy athmosphere. Our banquet hall shows the historical building fabric oft he barn.

Enjoy history in the Greuterhof Hotel – we look forward to welcoming you.
